How You Consented to Receive Messages
FamilyPilot collects SMS consent during the family signup process at familypilot.co/familypilot_signup.html. On the final review step of the signup form, customers must actively check an SMS consent checkbox before the form can be submitted.
The consent checkbox cannot be pre-checked. The language shown to the customer reads:
"Yes, activate my text reminders — I agree to receive recurring automated text messages from FamilyPilot LLC at the mobile number(s) I provided, including calendar event confirmations, scheduling conflict alerts, morning day-of reminders, evening previews, and weekly summaries. Message frequency varies (approximately 1–10 messages per week). Consent is not a condition of purchase and is not required to complete signup. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service."
Consent is recorded in our customer database at the time of form submission, along with a timestamp.
No text messages are sent to any customer until signup and consent are both complete.
Types of Messages We Send
FamilyPilot sends only service-related messages to opted-in subscribers. We do not send marketing or promotional messages. Message types include:
- Calendar event confirmations — confirmation when a new event is added to the family calendar
- Scheduling conflict alerts — notification when two scheduled events overlap
- Morning day-of reminders — sent on the day of a scheduled event (Premium and Concierge plans)
- Evening previews — a look at tomorrow's schedule sent the evening before (Concierge plan)
- Weekly summaries — a preview of the upcoming week's events sent every Sunday (all plans)
All messages originate from FamilyPilot's dedicated Twilio number: (470) 900-0725.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of FamilyPilot text messages at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP to any FamilyPilot text message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
- Email hello@familypilot.co and request to be removed from SMS messaging.
- Text or call (470) 900-0725 and request opt-out.
To resubscribe after opting out, reply START to any message from (470) 900-0725.
