We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and we do not use children's information for any purpose other than calendar management on behalf of the account-holding parent or guardian.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child in violation of applicable law, please contact us immediately at hello@familypilot.co.

FamilyPilot collects SMS consent exclusively through our online signup form at https://familypilot.co/familypilot_signup.html. During the signup process, users must check a dedicated SMS consent checkbox that reads:
No SMS messages are sent until this checkbox is explicitly and affirmatively checked by the user. The checkbox is not pre-checked and consent is never a condition of purchase or service enrollment.
Mobile opt-in data and consent will never be sold, shared, rented, or transferred to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or any other purpose. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Your phone number is used exclusively to send FamilyPilot service messages as described in this section.
We maintain records of SMS consent as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and The Campaign Registry (TCR).
FamilyPilot's SMS messaging program is operated in compliance with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC regulations, CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and The Campaign Registry (TCR) A2P 10DLC requirements. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate FamilyPilot. Each is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements:
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person.
In the event FamilyPilot is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred. We will notify you via email before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information:
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services:
You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@familypilot.co.
We collect your family's schedule information (emails, texts, photos, and voicemails you send us) and your contact information (names, email addresses, and phone numbers) for one purpose: building and maintaining your family's unified calendar and sending you the reminders and summaries included in your plan. We don't use it for anything else, and we never sell it.
You have the following rights regarding your information:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@familypilot.co. We will respond within 30 days.
You can stop FamilyPilot text messages using any of these methods — whichever is easiest for you:
Any clear request to stop, made through any of these channels, will be honored. We process opt-out requests promptly, and in all cases within 10 business days as required by FCC rules — in practice, requests received through any channel above are typically applied the same day. After you opt out, you will receive a single confirmation message with no promotional content, and no further texts.
How each method works (technical note): Replying STOP by text takes effect at the carrier level for the specific phone number you replied from. Opt-outs by email, phone, or voicemail are applied to your account for the individual making the request — if two parents on the same account each receive texts, each controls their own text preferences, and one parent's opt-out does not affect the other's. Opting out of texts does not cancel your FamilyPilot service; your calendar management, email summaries, and all other plan features continue unchanged. You can resume texts at any time by emailing hello@familypilot.co.
FamilyPilot recognizes that many families have co-parenting arrangements. We will only communicate with and share scheduling information with individuals expressly authorized by the primary account holder at signup. We are not responsible for disputes between parents regarding schedule access or information sharing.
If your custody arrangement includes restrictions on information sharing, it is your responsibility to configure your account accordingly and to inform us of any relevant limitations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of FamilyPilot after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects when this policy was most recently revised.
