Do I need to download an app?
Nope! FamilyPilot works through email, text message, AND voicemail. Forward us emails, text us schedules, snap a photo of a paper flyer, or simply call your dedicated FamilyPilot number and leave a voicemail describing what needs to be added. We handle everything else. Your shared family calendar works with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Outlook — nothing new to download.
What about paper flyers and handouts?
Easy! All plans include texting. Simply text a photo of any paper flyer — coach handouts, school newsletters, permission slips — to your dedicated FamilyPilot number and we'll extract the details and add everything to your calendar automatically. Even works for handwritten schedules!
How quickly do you process schedules?
Processing speed depends on your plan. Essential families are processed twice daily (9am and 6pm). Premium families get priority processing within 2 hours. Concierge families are processed within 30 minutes around the clock. When urgent conflicts are detected, we prioritize reaching out to all plan levels quickly.
Can both parents see the calendar?
Yes! When you sign up, both parents receive a one-time calendar subscription link that works with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Outlook — whichever you already use. Tap the link once, confirm the subscription, and your FamilyPilot calendar appears automatically. Every update we make syncs to your device in the background. Both parents also get the Sunday text preview and email summary, so everyone stays in sync no matter what calendar app they prefer.
Is my family's information secure?
Absolutely. Your family data is encrypted, never shared with third parties, and stored securely. Text messages are processed and stored with the same security standards as email. Your information — whether sent by email or text — is always yours and never shared.
How does the calendar sharing work?
When you sign up, we send both parents a one-time calendar subscription link. Tap it, confirm, and your FamilyPilot family calendar appears automatically in whichever app you already use — Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. No Gmail required. Every time we add or update an event, your calendar syncs automatically in the background. No action needed from you ever again.
What are Smart Reminders?
Smart Reminders are automated texts that alert both parents on days events are scheduled. Premium families receive one daily morning reminder at their preferred time (8am, 9am, or Noon). Concierge families receive two texts per event day — an evening preview the night before (your choice of 6pm, 7pm, or 8pm) plus a morning day-of reminder. You pick your preferred times at signup. No more scrambling because someone forgot about Saturday's game.
What is the AI-powered family coordinator?
On the Concierge plan, our AI actively learns your family's scheduling preferences over time — who takes which kids where, recurring conflicts to watch for, your busiest days. It proactively flags potential issues before they become problems and gets smarter the longer you use FamilyPilot.
How does the voicemail feature work?
Every FamilyPilot family gets a dedicated phone number. You can call it anytime and leave a voicemail — "Add Jake's baseball tryout, Saturday the 14th at 9am at Riverside Park." We transcribe the message and add it to your calendar automatically. Great for when you're driving and can't type a text.
What happens after the free trial?
After 14 days, your selected plan begins and your card is charged. Before that, on day 13 we'll send you a summary of everything we've done and a reminder that your trial is ending. If you'd like to cancel, just reply to that email or text us — no charge, no questions asked, no hard feelings.
Is my family's information encrypted and secure?
Yes. All data is protected by TLS encryption — the same standard banks use. We operate on Twilio and Google Workspace, both SOC 2 Type II certified platforms. Two-factor authentication is enabled on every system we operate. We're transparent about what we do and don't do to protect your data.
Which states do you currently serve?
FamilyPilot currently serves families in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. We're expanding nationally — join our waitlist if you're outside our current area and we'll notify you the moment we launch in your state.
Is FamilyPilot a registered business?
Yes. FamilyPilot operates as a registered Georgia LLC — a formal, accountable business entity with published Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and SMS consent documentation. You're signing up with a real, legally registered company.
